SEAMS
An Enterprise Awareness Programme for individuals and groups in the Greater North Belfast area. The Self-Employment Awareness and Mentoring Support (SEAMS) Programme is a business support initiative aimed at promoting both individual and social enterprise within North Belfast. The SEAMS Programme offers a portfolio of assistance to both individuals and community organisations. The primary aim of the programme is to promote and assist the development of enterprise in its many forms. This may be an individual wishing to know more about starting up a small business, or a community based organisation / group concerned about long-term sustainability. SEAMS can offer assistance in a number of ways. For Individuals: - Individual advice and guidance on exploring business opportunities
- Enterprise Awareness Training course to explore business and enterprise
- Identification of funding opportunities for business start-up
- Support and assistance to existing business owners.
For Community Organisations: - Advice and guidance on exploring social economy opportunities
- Identification of funding opportunities for social economy start-ups, and assistance with funding applications
- Review of capacity building needs of the community organisation, and technical assistance as appropriate
- Small-scale research linked to the development of a community organisation.
